The famous "The Hazzards" join the famous "The Debate Society"

You thought that Paul was only a really famous actor in The City of Roses, but you thought wrong! When The Hazzards, the New York Ukulele-Pop band rolled into Portland for their gig at The Fez on Thursday, Paul had to rush straight from A Thought About Raya to his spot at the harp with The Hazzards. It was a great audience, full house, and a fun evening. TDS and The Hazzards ended up at a dance party at The Fez following the show, and then at the downtown bar, Shanghai Tunnel- a place where all the famous bands and theater companies can go to hide out from all the screaming fans.
The next night, we all went and got a box of Portland's Voodoo Doughnuts to share back at The White Eagle Hotel. Yes, the donut below does have 2 strips of bacon on it. And yes, it is delicious. Back at The White Eagle The Hazzards and The Debate Society sat and drank pitchers of McMenamin's Ruby Beer, and played Asshole (it's a cardgame-for those of you who never went to college).

Oliver and Will (who plays drums in The Hazzards) chilled out on the following day at The Kennedy School over McMenamin's Pear Brandy and Sancho Panza cigars.
